A by-election was held for the Sandfields East division of Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council on 30 October 2014 following the death of Labour Cllr Mike Davies, who was originally elected in a previous by-election held on 17 October 2013, covered here.

Matthew Crowley held the seat for Labour.
